What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the website owners. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps data on your device only.

How We Use Cookies

Parity uses essential cookies required for the proper functioning of our service. On our public website pages (not the dashboard), we also use Google Analytics, but only after you accept it in the cookie banner. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.

Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the service to work and do not need your consent. We set them on parity.ac and its subdomains:

CookiePurposeDuration

__Host-authjs.csrf-token, __Secure-authjs.callback-urlProtect the login against cross-site request forgery and remember where to return after signing in.Session
__Secure-parity.pkce.code_verifier, tebex_auth_stateSecure the Discord and Tebex login flow. Only exist while you are signing in.10–15 minutes
cookie_consentStores your cookie choice so we do not ask again.1 year
dashboard_language, geo_language_detectedRemember your language, and that we already suggested one based on your country.1 year
sidebar_state, parity_quick_search_recentsRemember whether the dashboard sidebar is collapsed and your recent quick-search entries.7 / 30 days
parity-demo-entryLets you into the public demo dashboard after you open it from our website.1 hour

Local Storage

The dashboard keeps your interface preferences in your browser's local storage: theme (light or dark), language, layout and table density, pinned and recently opened pages, saved filters, map view settings, the last opened configuration tab and a copy of your cookie choice. This data stays on your device, is not used for tracking and is removed when you clear your browser data.

Analytics Cookies (Optional)

With your consent, given via the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics on our public website pages to understand aggregate traffic and usage. This never runs inside the authenticated dashboard. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Cookie Preferences" in the footer of our public pages, or via "Cookies" in the dashboard footer.

Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*)

Set by Google to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. IP addresses are anonymized before storage. Retained for up to 2 years. See Google's Privacy Policy or use their browser opt-out add-on.

Third-Party Cookies

Our website is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set a short-lived security cookie (__cf_bm, 30 minutes) to tell people and bots apart. The login page uses Cloudflare Turnstile for the same purpose.

Aside from these and the optional Google Analytics cookies above, we do not set any third-party cookies. Our authentication is handled through Tebex and Discord OAuth, which may set their own cookies during the login process on their respective domains. Please refer to their privacy policies for more information.

Error Reports

When a page fails to load or crashes in your browser, it sends us a technical error report so we can fix the problem. Error reports set no cookies and store nothing on your device. What they contain is described in our Privacy Policy.

Managing Cookies

Use "Cookie Preferences" in the footer of our public pages to change your analytics choice. You can also control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from using the authenticated features of our platform.
